MarieYolaine Toms Founder + FireStarter of Community2Community (C2C)

MARIEYOLAINE Toms

Founder “FireStarter” + CEO, Board President

With her father’s inspiration, Haitian-born humanitarian and change agent, MarieYolaine Toms resigned from American Express, after the January 2010 earthquake in Haïti, to launch Community2Community (C2C), a 501c3 non-profit service organization. The Vision-Mission: creating self-sufficient communities by working with the community. The Focus: Health, Education, Economic Development and Environmental Stabilization. The goal: replicate the pilot project, offering Diaspora and those with a heart for Haïti an opportunity to be part of something greater than themselves. MarieYolaine is a social entrepreneur dedicated to using her numerous talents to serve others. She lives, loves and laughs in New York and credits her joie de vivre to Luke 1:37, the people of Petit Goâve and the C2C Team.

Olivia Robinson

COO

With a heart for Haïti since Community2Community (C2C)’s inception in 2010, Olivia serves and works with C2C and the people of Petit Goâve as the COO of the organization. After graduating from American University with a degree in Anthropology and Communications, she joined the C2C team in 2011, as an intern and has since worked her way up and with each department in C2C on various initiatives, campaigns and events, such as Change04Change, Run04Haiti, C2C Town Halls, “Hope and A Future” Benefit Concert for Haïti, and more. However, it was not until Olivia traveled to Haïti for the first time in October 2012, where she met and interacted with the community, that she understood why she chose to work with C2C. C2C is not only about working with the community but connecting with and learning from the community. “I found C2C and went to Haïti initially because of the cause and the earthquake, but I stay because of the people.”

Beatrice Klimes

CFO

Beatrice was raised in Haiti and moved to the US as a teenager. She believes that everything happens for a reason and became a Community2Community team member and C2C neighbor in 2022. She is passionate about her culture and serving her brothers and sisters has been both a blessing and a life changing experience. She shares C2C’s mission to empower the underserved Haitian community in becoming sustainable. She is a Finance and Accounting professional with over 25 years experiences working with biotech and pharmaceutical companies. As the CFO of Community2Community, she will manage the financial resources of the organization including accounting and organization-wide budgets in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and the organization/contract policies and procedures. She will also collaborate with other C2C team members to drive efficiencies and standardize reporting best practices.

Midea Stewart

HR Manager, Board Member

Midea has been a team member of Community2Community and a C2C neighbor since 2014. She has passionately served C2C's two Partner Communities of Petit Goave as the Human Resource Manager of the organization as well as the Secretary of the Board of Directors. With an MBA in Business Administration, she has been instrumental in supporting various C2C initiatives, as a team member, financial contributor and Board Member. During her last trip to Haiti, where she personally experienced the love and community of Petit Goave, she is even more invigorated to help change the narrative of Haiti and ensure that not only the communities C2C currently serves become self-sufficient, but the entire country becomes and remains self-sufficient through supporting indigenous leadership.

BRADLEY M. TOMS

Video Producer, Board Member

Unofficially, Bradley is our Storyteller in Chief. And officially he is the Video Producer for Community2Community. Since his first trip to Haïti with C2C in 2011, he has been a brand ambassador in helping visually shape the narrative of our partner communities and the collaborative work C2C is doing in Haiti. With over 15 years experience as a senior-level video producer in both corporate and national broadcast TV production, he has a solid track record here in NYC. Bradley is committed to the growth of people first and he has a relentless drive for progress in how amazing stories are created. His passion is producing videos that might not change the world, but videos that will change the way we think.
