DLO POU VIV (H)20’s mission is to provide access to clean portable water to Port au Prince; Haiti and surrounding regions by drilling wells and play pumps in community centered areas such as schools, orphanages and hospitals. Our purpose is to raise awareness and heighten the sensitivity of the communities in need by educating them on measures they can take and tools they can utilize to better their health. While allowing for community growth in sustainable water and water solutions, we aim to implement a social campaign on personal hygiene and sanitation education. Our goal is to work with school aged children to begin this education campaign that also includes adopting Sodis (solar disinfection). Educating the community for which the wells and play pumps will be placed is part of our goal to advance community interest in sustainable water, personal hygiene and sanitation.
