Meet C2C Neighbor Tanisha Perry

C2C Neighbor since 2015

Where I call home: Staten Island, NY

Has love for: Water conservation, the beach, working with children, and Haïti

C2C’s motto is “Come Inspired, Leave an Inspiration.” What inspires you?

I have always believed that everyone should have access to clean water and I always recognized the abuse – I thought that we as a community abused water. I was always bugging my four brothers about running water unnecessarily when they washed dishes or brushed their teeth. They always used to tease me that one day I would “save the world” in regard to water. The idea that I could actually contribute to a water distribution system shook me when I first heard of it. Water inspires me; it’s a resource that makes life easier, one we can’t live without, and now it has definitely come full circle for me to be working with C2C on a water initiative.
